Los Altos, CA, August 15, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Women entrepreneurs and businesses owners from the BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India and China) will be vying for the opportunity to present their business plans at the upcoming TEDxBayArea Women Entrepreneurs Conference, December 1, 2012 in Mountain View, CA.
The top three entries from women owned entrepreneurial businesses in each country will be selected to present their business on a panel conducted in that country. They will each present “live” to Silicon Valley venture capitalists, using Cisco System’s TelePresence. The winning candidate amongst all four countries, as judged by the team of venture capitalists, will be invited to present at the third annual TEDxBayArea Women Entrepreneurs Conference, hosted by LinkedIn in Mountain View on December 1st.
"We are committed to encouraging and helping women businesses get global visibility and a fighting chance to get capital from Silicon Valley venture capitalists. We are equally devoted to supporting women business owners who are passionate about building a great business that can keep on growing, providing jobs and income for others in their communities in addition to profits for the founders and owners," said Tatyana Kanzaveli, TEDxBayArea licensee. “We want to know not just about each of these businesses, but about the hopes and dreams of the founders as well."
To be eligible to enter the challenge, a business must meet the following criteria:
· The company must have women founders OR a female CEO
· The business must be up and running with customers who have purchased the product or service.
· The company must have received less than US$ 1 million in venture funding
· The company must be located in Brazil, Russia, India, or China
