Chinese Internet powerhouse Tencent Holdings says it's acquiring a minority stake in U.S.-based Epic Games, as part of its continuing foray to expand into the overseas market for online games. Hong Kong-listed Tencent, which operates numerous instant messaging, gaming and social network platforms in China, previously acquired a controlling stake last year in U.S.-based Riot Games, which developed the "League of Legends" multiplayer online game.
