Oracle Shares Up After Q4 Profit Beats Expectations
Investors gave a thumb's up to Oracle (ORCL) -- again. Shares for the business software giant were up 3% in midday trading Tuesday, after jumping as much as 6% earlier, after the company late Monday surprised the Street by announcing its fourth-quarter results three days before it had planned. For its fiscal Q4, Oracle reported a per-share profit minus items, of 82 cents, up 9% from the year-earlier quarter and 4 cents better than the consensus
