All user accounts, faved products, price history and all other stored data will be maintained and up to date after the testing phase and continue into the production stage after the open beta ends.
Favedeal provides unique value to it's members. On top of standard social shopping features like faveing (bookmarking), tagging, commenting and sharing of products, following friends and sharing shopping ideas with other members, Favedeal can track product prices in virtually every store on the English-speaking side of the Web and record any price changes to it's database. Members are notified about every product price decrease or increase by email or on their dashboards after they log in. Users can see tabular and graphical representations of all price changes for all products since they were first faved.
The website's closed beta period received positive reviews from the user community and provided Favedeal Media Inc. with valuable feedback that helped move the application closer towards maturity. Favedeal has successfully tracked prices of several products from multiple online stores.
Members who were testing the application during the closed beta period communicated closely with the development team to fine-tune the quality of user experience and influenced the selection of basic application functionality. Favedeal development continues and new features will be added over the course of the open beta. New features currently in the pipeline for future releases will include an improvement of members' ability to find the best deals across various stores on the World Wide Web and general improvements of user experience based on member feedback submitted though the online form in the members area.
