NEW YORK, Sept. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Window Media, the nation's largest gay newspaper group, today announced that it will begin rolling out a completely redesigned Houston Voice and houstonvoice.com on September 15th.
Editor-in-Chief, Joey Guerra stated, "The newly launched magazine and website reflect a fresh direction for our readers -- a new opportunity to explore the ideas, stories, and rhythms that make Houston a decidedly unique city for lesbians and gay men."
Ed Alvarez, Publisher of the Houston Voice, added, "While the enhancements to our publication and interactive platform are dramatic and will provide immediate benefits to our advertisers, we ultimately rebuilt the Houston Voice with the future in mind. With changing trends in readership -- the way consumers are accessing and sharing information -- today's version is the next evolution of this 32-year-old newspaper."
The print edition of the Houston Voice will be available monthly and will cover a full range of topics that affect the lives of Houston's LGBT community. The glossy guide will include regular columns on news, Arts & Entertainment and the Houston lifestyle -- while continuing provocative and engaging original editorial coverage.
In order to better organize its Arts, Entertainment & Lifestyle coverage as well as to make the online version more user-friendly, houstonvoice.com has also gone through a major facelift and redesign. According to the company, its new website will go live on September 15, 2006 and will represent many months of behind-the-scenes efforts involving award winning web designers and the company's own backend integrators.
Bill Kapfer, Vice President of Marketing, said, "In conjunction with the traditional print buy, advertisers will have the ability to extend their media mix within an interactive advertising platform -- allowing them to more quickly and easily connect to the Houston community and to achieve better overall return on their advertising investment."
The Houston Voice is part of the Window Media LLC family of publications. Window Media is committed to providing the LGBT community with local publications that reflect all aspects of their lives. "All the news for your life. And your style." It's not just a tagline. It's what they deliver to more than 400,000 readers each and every week.
