Ford Motor Co. (NYSE:F) intends to triple production of vehicles equipped with its EcoBoost engines to 480,000 vehicles annually by 2015 from 141,000 units in 2011 in order to meet stricter emission standards in Europe. As per the company, EcoBoost engines are capable of reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 15%.
