Dr. Cummings is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. A devoted doctor in his field, Dr. Cummings holds a Fellowship in the American Academy of Pediatrics; as well as being a Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Louisiana State University and a Professor at Tulane University. He currently works as a Pediatrician at his own practice, Lewis C. Cummings, MD, APMC located in Louisiana. In addition to his practice, Dr. Cummings works at the Lafayette General Medical Center. Lafayette General is the region’s only community-owned and managed hospital that evolved from a six-bed facility that opened in 1911 called Lafayette Sanitarium.
