Alcoa: No China Aluminum Slowdown
Investors have fretted of late that slowing growth in China could chill global markets. However, one more optimistic commentary came today from Alcoa (AA) CEO Klaus Kleinfeld. Investors have fretted of late that slowing growth in China could chill global markets.

However, one more optimistic commentary came today from Alcoa (AA) CEO Klaus Kleinfeld. Kleinfeld said in an interview that he sees China continuing to ramp up aluminum production to meet demand. Still, that shouldn’t be a threat to worldwide market, as the company doesn’t export the metal. Global demand growth is at 7%, he notes.
