The Food Coach Institute is a company which provides training to people who would like to become a Food Coach, a nutritionist who gives advice on a healthy, nutritious diet and coaches clients to success through personal development. Dr. Mcilvenny established the Institute as a way of spreading the message of nutritional living and combating the 21st Century diseases of diabetes, obesity, heart disease and arthritis.
Dr. Mcilvenny is a General Practitioner and Family Doctor with over 20 years of experience in writing education courses and teaching medical students, who has served as Head of a University Department of Family Medicine and as a Professor of Education in the Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine at Bond University. She is extremely passionate about preventing illness and helping people learn how to eat the right way in today’s unhealthy world.
During her collegiate career, Dr. Mcilvenny earned a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree and a Doctor of Medicine degree from Queen’s University Belfast. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Dr. Mcilvenny is also a member of the Australasian College of Nutritional & Environmental Medicine.
