Hollyberry Catering Teams With SSM Cardinal Glennon And Dierbergs To Create Home Run Bars
PR Log - Apr 05, 2012 - ST. LOUIS, MO – As part of Hollyberry Catering’s on-going commitment to fostering healthy food choices for children, as well as the company’s passion for providing nutritious and delicious menu items to its clients, Hollyberry Catering has created “Home Run Bars,” a made-from-scratch, wholesome snack bar that is the official snack of “Homers for Health.”
Net proceeds from each bar sold will benefit “Homers for Health,” a fan-engaging pledge program allowing every home run hit by the St. Louis Cardinals during the 2012 season to enrich the lives of thousands of children in the St. Louis area. St. Louis Cardinals players Matt Holliday and David Freese are the ambassadors for the “Homers for Health” program.
“Our company has been committed to promoting healthy food choices and healthy children within our community since its founding,” said Holly Cunningham, president of Hollyberry Catering. “Home Run Bars are a perfect treat. They taste great and are good for you. More importantly, they support a wonderful cause, SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center, and its work to keep children in the St. Louis area healthy. We are very fortunate to be a part of this winning team.”
Home Run Bars are a delicious combination of whole oats, cranberries and dark chocolate. They are all natural and preservative free, and are a great option for breakfast, an afternoon snack, or a quick pick-me-up at anytime of the day. Each bar is only 160 calories with three grams of protein and less than eight grams of fat.
Home Run Bars are individually wrapped and available in all locations of Dierbergs Markets, beginning April 6, 2012. They are priced at 2 for $5, and net proceeds from every sale will be donated to SSM Cardinal Glennon and its “Homers for Health” program.
“Home Run Bars provide another great way for fans to support the ‘Homers for Health’ program,” said Dan Buck, executive director of Cardinal Glennon Children’s Foundation. “We are grateful to Hollyberry Catering for this partnership. Through the purchase of Home Run Bars, Cardinals fans will have another option to take part in the ‘Homers for Health’ program in their local community, helping sick and injured children get back in the game.”
“Homers for Health” is a community-wide initiative throughout the St. Louis region, with activities planned during the month of April at dozens of schools, companies and among SSM Health Care system employees. “Homers for Health” is presented by Centene Charitable Foundation and powered by Peabody. Pledge forms are available at all Dierbergs locations. Fans can also make a pledge to “Homers for Health” online at: www.glennon.org
