CAROLINA, PR,   March 16, 2012 /Stanford Who’s Who/ — Helvia Guzmán has earned recognition in the exclusive ranks of Stanford Who’s Who as a result of her exceptional effort in the education industry. Throughout her brilliant professional career, Helvia has routinely exhibited the passion, vision, dedication, and diligence necessary to be considered among the elite.

Helvia, who has over 25 years of experience in the industry including evaluating proposals for federal grants with the Department of Education of Puerto Rico, currently serves as an English Professor at the University of Puerto Rico. In addition to teaching her classes, she provides students with office hours and is constantly working on revising the course material, always aiming for perfection. During her collegiate career, Helvia earned a Master’s degree in ESL from the University of Phoenix. She is also a devout Catholic who spends a great deal of time taking care of the elderly.
