AntOro Resources Inc.(TSX VENTURE: ORE) is pleased to announce the signature of an acquisition agreement of a gold exploration property located in the Opinaca River area in Northwestern Quebec.
The property located in the Opinaca River fold belt, north of Matagami (Quebec), consists of 138 "CDCs" (Map Designated Claims) covering 7,086.76 hectares (map sheet # 33C/10). The property has been acquired from MJL Explorations Inc.of Val d'Or, QC, a company controlled by Mrs.Jeanne Lebel, and 9151-2632 Quebec Inc., St. Hubert, QC, a company controlled by Mr. Pierre Gagne.
AntOro acquires 100% of the property for a cash payment of $15,000: $7,500 payable upon approval from the regulatory authorities and $7,500 on the 1st anniversary of the transaction, and the issuance of 900,000 common treasury shares upon approval of the transaction.
The Opinaca property straddles the same geological sequences as the Goldcorp-Virginia Gold Mines Eleonore project (40 km east of the AntOro property), and is close to the Beaufield Resources, Azimut and Eastmain Resources gold discoveries. The property is underlain by paragneisses and syntectonic intrusions similar to those found on neighbouring properties and most notably, those found on the Goldcorp-Virginia Eleonore Project.
