FTI Board Approves Sale Of Maxi Treat Division

FTI FOODTECH INTERNATIONAL INC. (TSX VENTURE: FTI) is pleased to announce the successful sale of its Maxi Treat pet treat division to Joe Crump, East Caledonia, Ontario.

Related processes and technologies, equipment and inventory are included in the sale. The Maxi Treat Trademark remains the property of FTI until all monies have been paid in full.

FTI will work with Mr. Crump in the initial stages to ensure that the product retains the high level of quality that the name has come to represent.

In December of 1991, FTI launched Maxi Treat. Maxi Treats are an all natural obedience treat for dogs, with no additives or preservatives. High acceptance of Maxi Treat has led to the development of two companion lines Maxi Treat liver bits with garlic, and Maxi Treat for cat, as well as a line of Ontario grown catnip products. Distribution for Maxi Treat is coast to coast in Canada through both specialty trade and veterinarians. Maxi Treat products are the all-natural treats of choice by many true animal lovers.
