Landmark Acquires Three Quebec Uranium Properties; Financing Announced

Landmark Minerals Inc. (TSX VENTURE: LML) is pleased to announce that it has made application, by staking, for a 100% interest in three mineral properties in Quebec, Canada.

The properties cover a total of 200 square kilometers in the Eastmain-Rupert River watershed within the Superior Province of the Canadian Shield. They are underlain by Proterozoic to Archean granitoid and high grade metamorphic rocks including paragneiss, migmatite, and pegmatite considered to be favourable for uranium mineralization. The Properties were selected to cover a combination of anomalous lake sediment geochemistry, anomalous radioactivity, favourable lithologies, and deep-seated regional structures at the boundaries between geological subprovinces. The geological setting is not unlike the Rossing, Namibia and Bancroft, Ontario uranium deposits.

Landmark also announces that it has arranged a non-brokered private placement of an aggregate of 600,000 flow-through units at a price of $0.45 per unit, for an aggregate of C$270,000. Each unit consists of one common share and one share purchase warrant to purchase one additional common share at a price of $0.55 per share, exercisable for a period of one year from the date of issuance. The issue of the private placement securities is subject to regulatory approval. The private placement proceeds will be used to carry out exploration on the newly acquired uranium properties in Quebec, as well as the existing uranium properties in the Northwest Territories and Newfoundland.

The technical accuracy of this news release has been verified by Roger Laine, Ph.D, P.Geo., Landmark's Vice President of Exploration and a qualified person in accordance with NI 43-101.

Landmark Minerals is a junior uranium exploration company based in Vancouver, Canada with properties in Quebec, Newfoundland and Northwest Territories, Canada. Landmark continues to cooperate with Sahara Resources Inc. to lawfully restore six prospecting permits in Algeria, and is seeking additional uranium exploration opportunities in jurisdictions offering secure mineral title.
