OTTAWA, ON, CANADA, March 7, 2012 /Stanford Who’s Who/ — Elena Anikeeva has earned recognition in the exclusive ranks of Stanford Who’s Who as a result of her exceptional effort in the performing arts. As Owner and Director of the Ottawa Dance Academy, as well as throughout her brilliant professional career, Elena has routinely exhibited the passion, vision and dedication necessary to be considered among the best.
The Ottawa Dance Academy is an organization which aims to make Ottawa the center of dance art. They provide training for all skill levels in the most popular styles of modern dance. The Academy offers a variety of programs including Salsa, and Latin Ballroom, as well as classical dance styles for both the competitive and social dancer because they firmly believe dance should be part of everyone’s life.
Dancing has been a lifelong passion for Elena who has consistently worked towards advancing her skills and knowledge of the art through participation in workshops, lessons, and events. Already an expert in Salsa dancing, she has now been studying Latin Ballroom dancing for over 4 years, receiving instruction from recognized professionals throughout Canada. Elena has also been a successful competitor in the Amateur International Latin Ballroom Open Championship level in Montreal, Toronto, and the United States.
During her collegiate career, Elena earned a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and a Master’s degree in Education. She is a member of Ontario Dancesport, which is a nonprofit Canadian organization dedicated to the promotion of competitive Ballroom Dancing and DanceSport in Ontario and Canada.
