UC4 Software, the global technology leader in enterprise job scheduling and data center automation, today announced it has closed its past quarter with 23 customer wins -- half migrating from traditional job scheduling vendors -- and $8.2 million in revenue, a 34 percent increase from last year's earnings from the same quarter. UC4's newest customers include Lillian Vernon Corporation and Commerzbank AG.
The company's success is in part due to the UC4 Migration Project launched two years ago. The project was initiated to expand upon what traditional job schedulers provide, and serve the enterprise's larger need for fully automated business services with job scheduling as the backbone. Last quarter, more than 50 percent of UC4's U.S. customer wins were a direct result of the success of the program. Companies are migrating from traditional job schedulers to UC4:global because it provides a cost-effective, scalable solution that can be easily integrated with any application or platform.
UC4 will highlight its migration success and proof of concept through a webcast with Air Products on Sept. 27. As a UC4 migration customer, Air Products will discuss the company's decision to switch its job scheduling and enterprise automation needs to UC4:global. Additional information and registration can be found at uc4.raindance.com.
"In addition to the success of the Migration Project, UC4's profitable quarter is attributed to our dedication to customer satisfaction and the further development of our product and strategic partnerships," said Mark Loehr, COO of UC4. "The best proof is that more and more revenue is generated by upgrades from existing customers. In this quarter for example Compass Group decided for an upgrade of their existing UC4 implementation. We are dedicated to providing our customers with something beyond a job scheduling solution, which is why we continue to be a leader in our market."
