Deason had his own successful practice for more than 30 years prior to becoming part of Southpoint, says  Jacksonville dentist Dr. Michael Moore, owner of Southpoint Dental Care.

“We are pleased to have Dr. Deason on board,” Moore says. “His arrival means patients are able to have several specialty procedures performed here, rather than being referred outside the practice.”

Deason brings a wealth of experience in specialties such as extractions, implants, root canals, periodontal care, TMJ, and Six Month Smiles, a form of accelerated orthodontics.

Dr. Michael Moore completed his pre-dental studies in 1972 at the University of South Florida in Tampa, and went on to graduate from the Medical College of Virginia in 1976. Dr Moore received the award for the outstanding student in Periodontics and served as the president of his senior class. In 1977 he completed a residency in General Dentistry at Charity Hospital in New Orleans and established his first private practice in 1978.
Dr. Moore and his wife Patty established First Coast Dental Center in May 1995, which became one of the most acclaimed dental practices in the area. They rebranded their practice as SouthPoint Dental Care when they relocated to the SouthPoint business area in 2006.
