Mr. Parnell is a writer, publisher, film director, producer and entrepreneur with a long list of successful business, music, film and book credits. He has been signed to EMI, RCA, SONY and other music labels as lead vocalist, guitarist and keyboard player. In addition to being a solo artist, Rob has composed original music for film, stage and TV, most notably the award winning movie Caprice and the children’s UK TV series, Letterland for Channel 4.
In 2002, Rob created the Easy Way to Write, which is an Internet company dedicated to helping writers. Commonly referred to as “the world’s foremost writing guru,” Mr. Parnell has over 130,000 subscribers from all over the world to his newsletters and over 30 self-penned, award winning writing courses. He also owns the Australian Writing Academy, an off-line correspondence school, and Magellan Books, a publishing company.
Mr. Parnell served as Senior Facilitator for the London Screenwriter’s Workshop, where he taught screenwriting and film making for over 4 years. He is currently focused on writing, producing, directing and promoting quality creative projects for films, books and music media. Rob is a member of the Society of Authors, the Writer’s Guild, the Australia Publishers Association and Writers World International. He is married to Robyn Opie Parnell, the bestselling children’s author, and lives in Adelaide in their beautiful beach front sanctuary.
