HS3 Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB: HSTH) a world-wide provider of innovative security solutions, announced today the first sale and installation of the OPIE (Outside Portable Investigative Equipment) system to New Frontier Energy, Inc., a natural resource company engaged in the exploration, acquisition and development of oil and gas properties.
HS3 Technologies installed the OPIE unit to monitor New Frontier's natural gas wells in the Slater Dome Field on the Colorado/Wyoming border near Baggs, Wyoming.
"The OPIE system provides an effective video monitoring and security solution for remote monitoring of well sites with limited-access," stated Mark Lana, President of HS3 Technologies, Inc. "The need for visual security of oil and gas infrastructure in remote areas has always existed, and we hope this initial sale of an OPIE system to the oil and gas industry will be the first of many for HS3 Technologies."
"We are pleased to partner with HS3 Technologies to provide a new level of access and security for our wells in remote locations," said Paul G. Laird, President and CEO of New Frontier Energy. "As we commence our 2007 Slater Dome drilling program, the OPIE system will enable us to monitor drilling in seconds without visiting remote drilling sites. We believe HS3's video surveillance service will help us enhance management of our drilling program as well as provide monitoring of our producing wells.."
OPIE is a real time surveillance solution consisting of a combination of cutting edge video transmission and storage technologies integrated into a completely mobile platform. OPIE integrates remote video monitoring, motion detection sensors, proprietary wireless Mesh networking, satellite and cellular connectivity into a self contained, self sufficient, mobile platform. The units' unique design allows for the addition of solar panels and deep cycle batteries, allowing OPIE to function independently of external AC power restrictions. OPIE has been in development for the last year and was showcased at this year's ISC West Show on March 28th-30th in Las Vegas.
