CHAPEAU, QC, CANADA, December 26, 2011 /Stanford Who’s Who/ — Lorna Roel has been welcomed into the prestigious ranks of Stanford Who’s Who as a result of her exceptional entrepreneurial effort in the arts. Throughout her brilliant professional career, Lorna has routinely exhibited the passion, vision and dedication necessary to be considered among the elite.
Lorna is an incredibly creative and talented artist who works in different mediums, offering sensational creations that can brighten up any room. She is a retired teacher who does a lot of traveling which is where she gets most of her inspiration. Lorna works with acrylic and water color, creating paintings inspired by the beautiful Ottawa River as well as numerous other breathtaking landscapes.
During her collegiate career, Lorna earned a Bachelor’s degree in Teaching from Concordia University. She is a proud member of the Valley Arts Council, which is the organization in the Upper Ottawa Valley that advocates and promotes all of the arts. Lorna also does volunteer work for the Child Poverty Action Network and a hospital in the Pembroke area.
