NEW ORLEANS, LA, December 23, 2011 /Stanford Who’s Who/ — Clifford V. Johnson has earned membership in the prestigious ranks of Stanford Who’s Who as a result of his remarkable work in the field of event management. As First Vice President of The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and Foundation Inc., as well as throughout his brilliant professional career, Clifford has consistently demonstrated the passion, vision and dedication necessary to be considered among the elite.
The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and Foundation Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit organization which was established to promote, preserve, perpetuate and encourage the music, arts, culture and heritage of communities in Louisiana through festivals, programs and other cultural, educational, civic and economic activities. The organization has developed numerous programs and assets for the purpose of meeting those goals.
Mr. Johnson is responsible for coordinating fundraising events as well as overseeing the entire festival, including the site, talent, media and finances. Over the course of his incredibly impressive career, he has held executive fundraising and development positions at Southeastern University in Washington, DC, the Association of Fund Raising Professionals, the Amistad Research Center and Dillard University.
During his collegiate career, Clifford earned a Bachelor’s degree in Natural Sciences from Dillard University and a Master’s degree in Teaching, Language and Literature from Harvard University. Mr. Johnson served on many boards and commissions, including the New Orleans Museum of Arts, the College Fund/UNCF, Odyssey House, the Louisiana State Police Commission and the French-American Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, he is a published poet and author in both fiction and nonfiction.
