HONOLULU, HI, December 16, 2011 /Stanford Who’s Who/ — Stanford Who’s Who proudly announces the addition of Kenneth W. Bushnell to the exclusive ranks of premier professionals as a result of his exceptional effort in education and the arts. Throughout his brilliant professional career, Kenneth has consistently demonstrated the vision, dedication and diligence necessary to be considered among the best.
Mr. Bushnell is an incredibly talented and knowledgeable artist with 40 years of teaching experience who serves as Professor Emeritus of Art at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He also spent two years as a visiting exchange professor at C.W. Post Center, Long Island University and a one term visiting position at Thames Valley University, London, England. Kenneth presently divides his time between studios in New York City, the south of France and Honolulu.
Kenneth is a practicing artist, actively exhibiting locally, nationally and internationally. His principal works are abstract paintings in oil and water media. He has also produced a large body of drawings, prints, sculpture, environmental installations, costumes and theater sets for dance, short films and furniture designs. Kenneth’s work takes the form of shaped canvases, as well as conventional formats for painting, prints, sculpture and installations.
During his collegiate career, Kenneth earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art from the University of California, Los Angeles. He went on to earn a Master of Fine Arts degree in Art from the University of Hawaii. Mr. Bushnell is a member of the Society of American Graphic Artists and the American Artist Association.
