NEW YORK, Dec. 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Aeropostale, Inc. (NYSE: ARO), a mall-based specialty retailer of active and casual apparel for young women and men, today announced that Tuesday, December 13, 2011 is its inaugural 'Aero Gives Back Day', a day during which all Aeropostale corporate employees will give back to the local community. "To be able to help those in need this holiday season is an honor for our company. Giving freely and from the heart is something that I believe makes Aeropostale a unique and special company to be a part of."

We appreciate that 450 volunteers from Aeropostale are rolling up their sleeves to help others on 'Aero Gives Back Day'," said Gary Bagley, New York Cares Executive Director. "Aeropostale employees are volunteering at a dozen volunteer projects citywide helping young people in need, and also supporting the New York Cares Coat Drive. We thank them for their generosity and for embodying the best spirit of the season."
