The International Year of Chemistry (IYC) 2011, initiated by the United Nations, officially ends today with a closing event in Brussels. The IYC has been a huge success for BASF. Worldwide, 100,000 people visited BASF sites and attended BASF-hosted and BASF-sponsored events. More than 31,000 children and teens carried out water-themed experiments in BASF KidsÂ’ Labs across the globe. -
