Lockheed Martin (NYSE:LMT) has won a British Army warrior armored fighting vehicle upgrade contract.
The defense major Lockheed Martin (NYSE:LMT) has announced the company has won a GBP642 million contract from the UK Ministry of Defense to upgrade the warrior armored fighting vehicle and to extend its service life to beyond 2040.
Lockheed Martin (NYSE:LMT) UK’s Ampthill business managing director Alan McCormick said, “We are delighted that the MoD has selected us to lead this critical upgrade effort designed to maximize the investment made in Warrior vehicles to extend their lives into the 2040s. The WCSP will provide a highly capable vehicle to fulfill the British Army’s current and future requirements. It will also strengthen our involvement in continued through life support for one of the British Army’s major vehicle platforms”.
