Bluegreen Corporation (NYSE: BXG), a leading provider of Colorful Places to Live and Play, today announced it is proud to partner with Deliver the Dream, a non-profit that aids families suffering from serious illness or crisis. As part of the Deliver the Dream program, Bluegreen Corporation will host 15 families at The Fountains, an Orlando, Florida resort, for a weekend retreat September 16-18, 2011.
Deliver the Dream creates programs that enable families undergoing crisis or chronic illness to regain strength, mend spirits and enjoy being parents and children again. The program organizes retreats that allow family members to alleviate stress, enhance coping skills and enjoy time together. The three day retreats include workshops for family members that address issues such as improved communication, anger management, self-esteem building, accepting loss, fighting depression and affirming strengths.
The Deliver the Dream program remains free for families, thanks to the generous donations and contributions from sponsors, partners and volunteers. Bluegreen both sponsors and volunteers for the program.
"Bluegreen has been planning this retreat event with Deliver the Dream for over a year now and on Friday, September 16 it will come alive," said Ellen Devine, Executive Assistant to the CEO at Bluegreen and member of Bluegreen's charitable giving committee. "This is going to be a very special weekend for the families, for our Bluegreen volunteers, for our staff at The Fountains resort and for everyone who has touched this event in some small way."
"This weekend we will be there to spend time with children with Sickle cell anemia along with their families to help them work through their illness and help them to know that others care and that we want these families to just take a break and enjoy a few days," Devine continued.
From September 16 through 18, Bluegreen will host 15 families at one of its most popular resorts, The Fountains. The families of patients at the Children's Cancer Center of Tampa will be guests of a fun-filled weekend that includes meals, activities and other accommodations. The Food and Beverage department of The Fountains is working with the Deliver the Dream organization to ensure the families will enjoy the best Bluegreen experience possible.
Bluegreen Corporation is honored to contribute to Deliver the Dream's goal of providing programs that enable those facing crisis and illness to regain strength and rebuild hope.
Bluegreen's resort The Fountains is situated within 54 acres of pristine lakeside property. Bluegreen's Wakoola Springs, a 75,000 square-foot water park-like tropical oasis that includes a zero-entry pool, water slides, interactive fountains and two hot tubs, sets this resort apart from others. Luxurious vacation villas that feature lush appointments, elegant décor, fully equipped kitchens and spacious living areas are also defining traits of Bluegreen Resorts that can be found at The Fountains.
