Philadelphia, PA, London, UK, June 8, 2011 - Thomson Reuters announced today that the Italian National Research Council (CNR), the largest public research organization in Italy, has selected the new Web of KnowledgeSM platform as an important source of citation data and analysis for its 108 member institutions.
Thomson Reuters new Web of Knowledge is an integrated and versatile search and discovery platform that delivers access to the world`s leading scholarly information in the sciences, social sciences, arts and humanities, as well as providing metrics and analytical tools for assessing research influence and impact.
The CNR signed a three year contract for access to the Thomson Reuters Web of Knowledge platform, which includes multidisciplinary citation data, conference proceedings records and analysis tools from the Web of Science®, as well as Journal Citation Reports®. The agreement brings together for the first time all 108 institutions affiliated with the CNR under one contract.
The Thomson Reuters Web of Knowledge platform will provide the CNR with access to the world`s largest citation databases covering more than 12,000 of the highest impact journals, and over 110,000 conference proceedings records from around the world.
