Campaign to promote physical activity programs in the workplace. Activities and programs will be geared towards fighting heart disease and stroke through workplace walking and physical activity programs.

In collaboration with the American Heart Association, Bluegreen has created an exciting program that will engage the company in heart-healthy activities. According to a Harvard University study, approximately two hours can be added to life expectancy for each hour of regular exercise. By making as little as 30 minutes of physical activity, such as brisk walking, a part of everyday life, Bluegreen associates can reduce the chance of stroke by lowering bad cholesterol (LDL) levels and high blood pressure.
According to the American Heart Association, more than one million Americans suffer a heart attack while 700,000 Americans suffer from a stroke each year. One of the leading causes for heart attack and stroke is lack of physical activity. Almost 70% of Americans are devoid of physical activity, blaming lack of time and motivation. By implementing exercise programs and strategies, Bluegreen Corporation and its associates hope to decrease chances for disease and other risks.
