Fewer Homes Taken Back Amid Probe
The number of U.S. homes taken back by lenders dropped to the lowest level in 18 months in November, due to foreclosure freezes by several banks following allegations that evictions were handled improperly. Home repossessions fell 28% from October and 12 % from a year ago to 67,428, foreclosure listing firm RealtyTrac said Thursday.
