Nikkei rises 0.9 pct as weaker yen draws bids
TOKYO, Dec 8 (Reuters) - Japan's Nikkei average closed up 0.9 percent on Wednesday after briefly hitting its highest level in almost seven months, as the dollar's rise against the yen encouraged buying after Tokyo stocks had fallen during the previous two sessions.
