NEW YORK, Aug. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Banc of America Securities (BAS) today announced the appointment of Patrick Coleman as Head of Global Markets Institutional Sales. Based in New York, he reports to Mark Werner, Head of Global Markets. Coleman's team includes BAS' Global Markets sales professionals across all asset classes.

Mr. Coleman joined BAS in 2005 to launch the Government Institutions Group, which focuses on origination and distribution of agency and supranational paper. In early 2006, he assumed the role as Head of Global Commodities, with a focus on expanding the Bank's presence in those important markets.
