Robert Collette, Former Canadian Diplomat, Appointed to Apella's Board of Directors

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Nov. 2, 2010) - Apella Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:APA)(OTCQX:APAFF)(FRANKFURT:NWN) and its Board of Directors are pleased to announce the appointment of the Mr. Robert Collette, a distinguished Canadian diplomat to the Board of Directors of Apella Resources Inc.

In addition to his appointment as Ambassador to Switzerland some of Mr. Collette's other appointments include: Canada's Chief of Protocol; Canada's Ambassador to the Philippines; Minister (Commercial) and Deputy Head of Mission at the Canadian Embassy in Beijing, China; Deputy Director, Western Europe Trade, Investment and Technology at DFAIT; Director, Africa and Middle East Trade and Investment; Director, Investment and Science and Technology, Canada; and Personal Representative of the Prime Minister of Canada for La Francophonie.
