CANADA STOCKS-TSX rises on earnings, firm commodities

TORONTO, Oct 28 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index rose at the open on Thursday as some impressive Canadian corporate earnings, firm commodity prices and solid U.S. employment data combined to fuel investor optimism.
