Asian stocks, currencies fall amid jitters over QE

A Wall Street Journal report saying the U.S. Federal Reserve may embark on a smaller-scale program of quantitative easing sets a negative tone for trading in stocks across much of Asia. Tokyo bucks the bearish trend, ending slightly higher.
