The credential exam for ANFI 206-National Flood Insurance: Advanced Studies (http://www.aicpcu.org/comet/programs/anfi/anfi206.htm?utm_source=PRWeb&utm_medium=text_link&utm_content=102610&utm_campaign=ANFI206Exam) is now available. ANFI 206 is an application-based exam that can be administered on a personal computer. Individuals may use the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) Flood Insurance Manual during the exam; however, a colleague or supervisor must proctor the exam and sign an affidavit.
The exam is based on the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA's) NFIP Flood Insurance Manual from October 2009. Topics covered on the exam include: V-Zone Rating Commercial Building Coverages Condominium Coverage Interpreting Elevation Certificates Coastal Barrier Resource Systems and Otherwise Protected Areas NFIP Grandfathering The Institutes, in conjunction with FEMA, have created the new Associate in National Flood Insurance (ANFI(TM)) designation for company underwriters, flood training vendors, and insurance and risk management professionals who need to be familiar with flood insurance.
The ANFI 206 exam preparation materials can be downloaded for free from The Institutes' Web site (http://www.aicpcu.org/anfi?utm_source=PRWeb&utm_medium=text_link&utm_content=102610&utm_campaign=ANFI206Exam) under the "order today" tab. A link to the NFIP Flood Insurance Manual is available under the "resources" tab. The Manual can be downloaded from FEMA's Web site for free.
