A new organization recently formed to innovatively raise critical funds on behalf of charities suffering during the economic downturn as well as "make dreams come true" for deserving individuals in need.
"As much as ever, individuals, organizations and leaders must step forward on behalf of others," said Donna Introcaso, the founder of DreamInspireBelieve and a lead member of the launch team behind the enormously successful women's lifestyle website iVillage.com. "We believe the time is now for a new way to fund worthy charities that are hurting during these difficult times and to make dreams come true for good people who truly need a helping hand."
The unique approach of DreamInspireBelieve is to raise awareness, organize relationships and create custom-made and uniquely designed magnets and other related products for their charity partners. The company will then facilitate the marketing and sale of the product, and donate a portion of the proceeds - at no cost to the charity.
"By absorbing the up-front costs, we remove the burdens many charities face when they are often forced to invest their own scarce funds in order to raise the money necessary to do important work," said Introcaso. "We are dedicated to a simple but powerful ideal: By helping others achieve their dreams, we can make a difference in our communities and inspire others to do the same."
The launch of the organization took place in October, featuring a comprehensive website and social media platform that has already resulted in the first two charity partners: Arms Wide Open Childhood Cancer Foundation and Tomorrow's Present.
