US STOCKS SNAPSHOT-Wall St pares gains as GE, banks weigh

NEW YORK, Oct 15 (Reuters) - U.S. stocks pared gains and the Dow industrials and S&P 500 turned negative on Friday, weighed by declines in General Electric and top-tier banks.
