The beauty of autumn shines at Silver Dollar City once again during the National Harvest Festival from September 11-October 30. And Chateau on the Lake (http://chateauonethelakebranson.com) - Branson, Missouri's only AAA Four-Diamond resort and spa - has a special package designed to help guests enjoy all the fun.

When guests take advantage of Chateau on the Lake's festive 2-night package, they can spend three cool autumn days at Silver Dollar City as more than 500 visiting craftsmen and musicians fill the park. Back by popular demand this year is Headin' West, a live musical production that relives the American westward expansion.

As guests of Chateau on the Lake who have previously visited the Festival know, new events are always being added. This year, they include the PBS Craft in America Exhibit, Caricature Carvers of America Showcase, and a reunion of veteran Silver Dollar City artisans Peter Engler, Ted Blaylock, Peter Kramer, Lee Robertson, Tom Crain, Gary Dierking and Jesse Barnes.

No festival at Silver Dollar City would be complete without great-tasting food. Guests of Chateau on the Lake will enjoy everything from farmhouse specials to Southwestern fare at Taste of America. Silver Dollar City Master Craftsman of Culinary Arts will demonstrate her favorite recipes in the Culinary & Craft School's state-of-the-art kitchen. And guests of Chateau on the Lake can learn innovative tips and tricks that are sure to surprise.

Chateau on the Lake's 2-night National Harvest Festival package is priced from just $518, including accommodations in a Mountain View room, a $50 food credit, one set of 2-day passes to Silver Dollar City for two adults and one child, use of the indoor pool, hot tub, fitness facilities, playground and nature trail, and free indoor parking.

Often referred to as the "Castle in the Ozarks," Chateau on the Lake is Branson's only AAA Four-Diamond resort with an on-site spa. Owned and managed by Springfield, Missouri-based John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts, Chateau on the Lake is considered to be the 52-year-old company's flagship property. For reservations and details about the National Harvest Festival package, call 888-333-LAKE (5253) or 417-334-1161, or visit www.ChateauOnTheLake.com.
