TOKYO, JAPAN--June 1, 2010--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Japan Solar Silicon Company Limited (JSS) (Chiyoda, Japan), along with Nichiyo Engineering Corporation (Toda, Japan), is constructing a polycrystalline silicon plant in Kamisu, Ibaraki, 100 kilometers east of Tokyo. JSS is a joint venture between Chisso Corporation (Chiyoda), which has a 50% stake in the venture; Nippon Mining Holdings Incorporated, a subsidiary of JX Holdings (TYO:5020) (Chiyoda), which has a 30% stake; and Toho Titanium Company Limited (TYO:5727) (Chigasaki, Japan), which has the remaining 20% stake.
