U.S. Stocks Open Lower

Stocks opened lower on credit worries Monday, but they have trimmed some losses. The NYSE composite fell 0.3%, while the Nasdaq and S&P 500 lost 0.2% each. And the Dow was mostly unchanged. Volume was tracking sharply lower across the board. Amylin Pharmaceuticals(AMLN) gapped up and rallied 9% in fast trade. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration denied approval of a once-weekly version of diabetes drug Byetta, developed by Amylin, Eli Lilly (LLY)
