The California Department of Water Resources (DWR) will hold the fifth of six public workshop meetings on emergency levee repairs in the Sacramento area.

When: June 27, 2006 -- 6 p.m.

Where: City of West Sacramento, City Council Chambers, 1110 West Capitol Avenue, West Sacramento, CA 95691

The public workshops are part of an Executive Order signed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger earlier this year directing the Department to repair a total of 29 critical erosion sites along the Sacramento River Flood Control System.

The Department of Water Resources operates and maintains the State Water Project, provides dam safety and flood control and inspection services, assists local water districts in water management and water conservation planning, and plans for future statewide water needs.
