ST. JOHN'S, NEWFOUNDLAND -- (Marketwire) -- 10/30/09 -- Environmental Control Corporation ("EVCC") (OTCBB: EVCC) is pleased to announce that it has signed a non-exclusive licensing agreement with Terra Nova Sweden AB (TNS). As a sales consulting firm with extensive experience in the automotive and small engine industries, TNS is a great fit for the company at this present time.
Under the terms of the agreement, EVCC has granted TNS the non-exclusive license to use, market and sell both the reverse flow catalytic muffler and combined flow catalytic muffler technologies for a period of two years. Royalty and license fees will be determined by the two companies upon the receipt of a firm commitment to acquire EVCC's products by a buyer introduced by TNS. The agreement is renewable at the end of the current term for a successive two-year period.
Albert Hickman, President and Chief Executive Officer of EVCC, commented: "We are very pleased to bring Terra Nova Sweden on board, and we welcome them with open arms. TNS has many invaluable industry contacts in Sweden and other areas within Europe, and we look forward to the business leads they will generate."
Otto Runmark, Co-Founder of TNS, said: "We are very excited to join in EVCC's marketing efforts. Emission standards in Western Europe are becoming more and more stringent -- forcing engine manufacturers to either modify or replace the majority of the engines they produce. The emission reductions achieved by EVCC's catalytic muffler technologies are second to none, and we are therefore enthused with the opportunity to bring these systems to market."
EVCC will be posting updates on the progress made by TNS as they become available.
