Volume Declines As Market Jumps On Economic Data
Better-than-expected jobs and third-quarter GDP reports cheered the stock market Thursday. The Dow jumped 2%, the Nasdaq 1.8%, the S&P 500 2.3% and the NYSE composite 2.8%. But volume was softer across the board. SXC Health Solutions (SXCI) climbed 2.43 to 46.59, regaining its 50-day moving average. SXC reports earnings on Nov. 5.
