Phillips-Van Heusen and Rousseau SAS Partner to Launch IZOD Sportswear in European Markets; Men's Sportswear to Debut Spring '07 in France, Belgium, Andorra, Luxembourg, and Monaco

Phillips-Van Heusen Corporation (NYSE: PVH) today announced that they have entered into a license agreement with Rousseau SAS, under which Rousseau will market and distribute a line of men's sportswear under PVH's IZOD brand. The first IZOD collection is expected to be available in January 2007 for spring/summer 2007 and will be sold in France, Belgium, Andorra, Luxembourg, and Monaco.

Rousseau is the largest French producer and distributor of top range men's dress shirts in France. The company owns Pierre Clarence and Horizon menswear trademarks, and is the licensee for men's shirts and knitwear for Pierre Cardin, Christian Lacroix, and Nina Ricci.

IZOD, launched in the United States in the early 1900's, is one of the most successful and powerful sportswear brand names in the United States.

"This strategic partnership with Rousseau further extends the IZOD brand's offering and reach," said Allen Sirkin, President and COO, Phillips-Van Heusen Corporation. "This is an excellent opportunity for both companies, and an exciting new platform for IZOD in Europe."

"We are proud and excited to enter into the PVH family, with whom we share very strong values," states Judith Benhamou, President of Rousseau. "This is a very strategic partnership for our company. The powerful IZOD sportswear brand name, supported by the anticipated strong marketing campaign in Europe, will allow us to significantly extend our reach within our existing markets."

Being launched to capitalize in Europe on the brand's fresh, clean attitude, the modern traditional IZOD product offering will be targeted to a consumer similar to that in the US, defined as an active man who appreciates quality, modern styling, and a bright color palette.

Phillips-Van Heusen Corporation is one of the world's largest apparel companies. It owns and markets the Calvin Klein brand worldwide. It is the world's largest shirt company and markets a variety of products under its own brands, Van Heusen, Calvin Klein, IZOD, Arrow, Bass and G.H. Bass & Co., and its licensed brands Geoffrey Beene, Kenneth Cole New York, Kenneth Cole Reaction, unlisted, A Kenneth Cole Production, BCBG Max Azria, BCBG Attitude, MICHAEL Michael Kors, Sean John, Chaps, Donald J. Trump Signature Collection and, beginning in the second half of 2006, JOE Joseph Abboud.
