Nearly 400 Women Gathered at the Inaugural Women's Leadership Conference in Las Vegas
(EMAILWIRE.COM, July 31, 2010 ) LAS VEGAS, NV - The Inaugural Las Vegas Women's Leadership Conference was held on Thursday, July 22 at the Palms Casino Resort. The event fused together emerging women with established leaders and business owners. No matter the status or the title they hold, everyone walked away a winner with a renewed sense of empowerment.
This was made possible in part by the keynote speaker, Rolonda Watts, former host of The Rolonda Show'. From the moment Ms. Watts graced the stage, the audience was captivated. Her speech was inspiring and uplifting, highlighting current business owners who endured initial rejection and later went on to build their empire from the ground up. Ms. Watts empowered the women to let go of their reservations and engage in things that they love because it can potentially prove to be lucrative when established into an online enterprise.
Conference attendees were also exposed to invaluable information regarding current and future business ventures from a lineup of panel experts including Ronni Council, President of Organized Karma; Ernest Fountain, President of New Ventures Capital; Judge Karen Bennett-Heron, Commissioner Lawrence Weekly, and Jacqueline Holloway, Clark County Business License Director. The panelists educated the women on topics from increasing their influence and starting a business to establishing lasting relationships.
The Power of an UNSTOPPABLE Woman Awards was hosted by Lillian McMorris, emcee extraordinaire and social architect. Ten (10) women were honored with the UNSTOPPABLE WOMEN AWARD for their community, business, leadership and activism. Honorees Alicia Gibbs, Dr. Sandra Owens, Dr. Rochelle Hooks, Tiffany Smith-Anoa'i, Janice Barr, Debbie Banko, Vincenta Montoya, Rolonda Watts, Judge Karen Bennett and Richelle Shaw. The Soprano Sisters received a standing ovation for their performance during the luncheon.
Attendees at the all-day conference furthered their professional skills and networked with fellow attendees. Over 22 exhibitors were on hand at the conference, promoting their products and services.
The Health Village proved a success, representatives from the medical profession were on hand to offer medical advise and basic checkups.
